THE SILLY SATURDAY GANG BEING KIND

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You know we are always telling you to BE KIND, well today we had another chance to be kind and we were very excited.  Mr. & Mrs. HCB had another Bag of Hope to be delivered, so we asked if we could help them, and they said of course we could!

We piled into the boot of their car so that Mrs. HCB could take our photograph and we think everyone managed to get into the shot.

You will see in the top shot that there are a couple of large blue plastic bags at the side - IKEA if you are a “bag spotter” - and we knew that these would be used when the HCBs went down to Morrisons, their local supermarket to collect lots of food - not just for people, but for dogs and cats too - that people donate every week when they are doing their shopping.  We realise this isn’t at all silly and we think that dear Admirer would be proud of us for “doing our bit” but we are the Silly Saturday Gang, after all!

Off we went to deliver the Bag of Hope and the young Mum we delivered to was very grateful - I think she wanted us to stay, but we said unfortunately, we couldn’t because we had to pick up more things for the Bags and the Community Fridge from Morrisons.

When we got to Morrisons, fortunately there was a space just outside so that once the HCBs had collected the trolley, they just had to move it from there into the large blue bags.  Some of us helped to do that but some were quite tired and cold, because it was a freezing cold day, so stayed inside the car.  With our help, the HCBs soon had the job done and then we came home to have hot chocolate and marshmallows, which warmed us all up well.

SO, this is what being kind looks like - helping whenever you can and not grumbling because it’s cold -  and then everyone is happy.  You all know the saying “Many hands make light work” well that was very true today - and we are glad to have helped the HCBs.  Of course, that’s not the end of it - the big blue bags have to be delivered to the Church tomorrow and all the tins and packets need to be sorted.  Mr. HCB usually does that with Meg and tomorrow Mrs. HCB is singing, but I’m sure they will manage on their own.

SO, it just remains for us to say to you again, BE KIND to everyone you meet - because you never know what someone else is going through.  We must start thinking of what we can do this week to BE KIND - because when you are kind, it always comes back to you in some way and you never lose out.

Have a great week.

Love to you all from
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx
