It was dusty and windy when I left for Dubai, visibility got down to around a km; then the rain started.

Thunder and heavy rain greeted commuters on Sunday morning in parts of the country, in what forecasters say was freak weather.
"It is unusual for this season," said a forecaster at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology. "During the last three decades, there have been some cases like this. But not that many."
The rain shocked residents, many of whom took to Twitter to voice their surprise. "Raining! In 19 years in the Middle East I've never seen it rain in August," said one resident, Tara Rogers.
