Fading Beauty
B and I walked on Kelling Heath this morning. It was cold, but still, so it didn't feel as cold as yesterday. It was overcast and gloomy though, so few inspiring photographic subjects.
I thought I'd try out my new remote cable shutter release this afternoon, and very pleased I am with it too. However, my star purchase from yesterday was a roll of wallpaper (yes, just one). I've been struggling to find suitable sized backgrounds for my flower photos, so I purchased a roll of vinyl wallpaper with a textured mottled background. It's so handy to stick one end to the wall and then unroll over a table to create a seamless backdrop. The other side of the paper is plain white, so that's useful too.
This is one of the fading tulips left over from the beautiful bouquet that M bought me for my birthday last week. All the flowers were very subtle pink and cream colours which I really enjoyed.
I've added another flower portrait as an extra.
