A Day In The Life

Forever in Blue Jeans

The starlings and bluebirds continue to gobble up mealworms, and with more snow forecasted this month I need to get lots more. When I first retired I tried keeping live ones which is much less expensive but it got to be too much!! I was paranoid they would turn into beetles inside the box sitting in the refrigerator, so that ended that experiment • MrsP was relieved • Many years ago we had a worm composter in the house during the winter to consume our kitchen veggie scraps. It actually worked well and much easier to maintain than mealworms - and, no, there was no smell. We put the red worms in the garden when we decided not to do it anymore • We finished off the rest of the shoveling (more comes tonight); got some admin done; wrote more letters to our Senators and Rep; next is figuring out what’s for dinner • Happy Saturday! • Peace & Love
