Going back .

I was a pupil at this school between September 1976 to January 1982.
I will do the maths for you, it’s 43  years and three weeks since I left , I was almost 17, ready to start a working life. 
I only live 25 miles away, but life never seems to take me that way these days.
The reason for the visit was to attend one of several guided tours for ex pupils . 
I wandered down corridors and peered into rooms, and opened doors and the memories came flooding back. It was good to re connect,  but also hugely  emotional to think of the life journey I have taken since leaving .
The things I wish the woman of today could have told the girl back then.
