My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

And breathe...

We got the much promised full structural survey on the lab roof today -it might have been nice to have that before the RAAC hit the papers and Internet with lots of wrong information.
Thankfully the main area was completely clear of any damage and only one area was found to have some water ingress and was -very- promptly propped up, by more Estates personnel than I've ever seen in one place, as a precaution against the potential risk.
All of that means the lab can continue to operate, the acute site can remain open and all the work we've done on disaster recovery planning can now be adapted for a longer term relocation plan.
New lab?

We decided that the collective noun for a group of Estates people should be a construction.
