The old lifeboat station, Hilbre Island

We took our youngest daughter on the walk across to Hilbre Island knowing that she would enjoy watching the seals. She wasn't disappointed as they swam quite close to the island. It's so peaceful on the island and although in good weather it draws quite a crowd, people are happy just to do their own thing, watching the wildlife, enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

As ever on the Wirral we had a lovely day out.
