Hobblers and Sausage Sandwiches
I've just returned from a chilly but very enjoyable Hobble with the Hobblers along Thornton Viaduct, ending with hot cuppas and varying yummy sandwiches at the Junction Cafe where we were supplied with blankets and insulating swimming floats which helped to ward off the gloom and cold. There was much laughter, lots of stories and we managed to plan our next long weekend, hopefully in Snowdonia. Wonderful women all!
Our elderly neighbour has had another fall, this time banging her head on the kerb. Luckily her daughter was with her and Tony was up in the drying ground and heard the fall. They got her back in to her house, made her comfortable and cleaned her wound but she has been waiting for an ambulance for several hours now. I called in on my return from hobbling and she is bearing up.
