Waiting To Cross Between A Rock And A Hard Place

We got up a bit later than usual and had a lazier morning watching a few videos on you tube (including a couple of Walkie Talkies with Paulie B) for some photographic inspiration before heading out for a quick drink and then stopping off at Maidstone Library, with my intention being to hopefully capture an architectural based image with some enigmatically placed passers-by.
However, I ended up not including the library at all as my attention was caught by the scene in completely the other direction between two large rocks (they are rather unbelievably early sculptures by the renowned sculptor Anthony Gormley - with one being a "water-hewn" boulder from Scotland and the other a brass and concrete replica - which I would humbly argue might not be his best work!) which sit rather forlornly in the library grounds next to a busy roundabout.
There was just something I liked about the pops of colour from one eye-catchingly attired pedestrian and the red hair of another waiting to cross the road, with one fitting perfectly into the gap between the looming presence of the rocks in the foreground (which I managed to create by crouching down as I clicked the shutter), the fact that one traffic light is red and the other is amber and that you can even see the little red pedestrian crossing figure on the far right hand side of the image.
When we got back we watched the first episode of the Boyzone documentary on Sky called No Matter What. The main takeaway from this initial instalment is what a total and utterly ruthless slimeball their manager Louis Walsh was, and very much continues to be.
