The Power Of Nature

This is the beach at Horsey in Norfolk, home of a large grey seal colony (I am a volunteer warden for Friends of Horsey Seals). I have previously  blipped this view on 26 Jan 25.

On my last shift two weeks ago we were able to walk down the slipway and straight on to sand. Over the last few days a series stormy, high tides has eroded the level of the sand and exposed a long length of metal sea defence below the sea wall. It seems the sand has been picked up on the tide and dumped up and down the beach, as the sand levels are different in other areas as well. It appears that work on the groynes further up the coast may have impacted this bit of beach. You can’t hold back nature and the power of the sea.
