Isn't it cold?!
Went for my normal little trek along the beach and around town this morning and OMG, wasn't it cold? Our weather app was telling us it was 5C but it felt loads colder. I had to do lots of running around just to keep warm. Ann had on a Tshirt, sweater, thick anorak & her gloves obv she had on other clothes as well and she was freezing.
We live in an all electric house and have a 20 year old panel heater in the living room/kitchen. It was turned up to full and we were still cold when we were eating our breakfast. Ann has been busy looking into getting us new heating and at least four of her neighbours have recommended 'Rionte Heaters' so it looks like that's the route we're going to take, unless any of you lovely Blippers can suggest anything better? Now it's just a case of Ann actually ordering them and finding someone to fit them and put in an extra electric socket for us. #Lifeisnevereasy
Today Ann was working 11-4pm, so before she went to work, she took me into the field for a play with my ball. It was still very, very, cold. After about 10-15mins I was tired, so I kept having little 'flop downs'. I like to have my 'flop downs' in the undergrowth so that Ann can't get to me. I lie there for a few mins and then when I've regained my energy, I go running up to Ann, drop the ball so that she can throw it for me again.
Ann's intention was to take me down to the beach for another walk when she got home from work. Best intentions and all that...................... My human was really tired by the time she got home at 4.15pm so she said, 'Trixie, would you be happy if we just go into the field for another play with your ball?' Obviously, I was more than happy to do that because playing with my ball is one of my most fav activities in the world. So that is what we did?!! And after about 15 mins, I was exhausted....
…........And Ann was freezing cold again.
Have any of you lovely Blippers got experience of 'Rionte' heaters? The plan is to buy a big one for our living room/kitchen and also one for our landing (where we will have to get a new socket fitted), move our old living room panel heater into our bedroom (where we just have a portable oil filled radiator thing atm), because Ann actually never has heating on in the bedroom.................. And then Ann thinks we should be warm & cosy.
TBH, we're very warm & cosy in our living room and our electricity costs are less than half of what they are in our Edinburgh home, mainly we think, because we have an airfryer here and hardly ever use the oven but the minute we Ann leave's the room to go to the toilet, it's like she's living in an igloo??!!
Anyway, suffice to say, it's a bit cold today. It's not going to be cold forever is it????????????
Soon it will be summer and my human will be lying around on our very sunny sun terrace and she won't even be thinking about what kind of heating that she needs in the winter. Lol!!!
