Sweet Peas
These sweet peas actually grow through the fence from our neighbours garden. They are excellent gardeners so we are only too pleased to accept any free gifts that come our way from over the fence including apples and plums. Unfortunately the fence is stained a dark red cedar colour so it doesn't actually form a very nice background to these flowers so in photographing the bloom I took the trouble to block out the background with an off-white card. This enabled me to get the dreamy pink effect I wanted in photoshop.
You can tell it is taken in the wild if you look at it LARGE as you can see numerous other beasties as well as the marmalade hover fly.
The holes in the fence come courtesy of some wild, wild winds last winter which blew this entire stretch of fence down. When we replaced it, we thought we had better allow some through draught by having gaps between each of the fencing planks to subdue the force of wind.
