By the fire . . .

………………………….. at the Cardrona Hotel.

My friend F. and I left Arrowtown early, took Missy to the Vet Kennels for her 4 day holiday - she loves interacting with all the dogs there. She’ll be happy.

We then drove over the Crown Range, stopped at the Cardrona Pub for a coffee, and headed over the narrow windy road at the Haast Pass, to Haast itself.
It wasn’t far then up the coast to the Wilderness Lodge at Lake Moeraki, where we are staying for a couple of days.

I was happy to have a good rest after all that driving, and then go on a wonderful rainforest walk with one of the managers, Gerry McSweeney. Gerry is a well known and influential figure in New Zealand’s conservation world and it was fascinating seeing and hearing him talk about the trees and forest growth. We also saw some wood pigeons; wonderful native birds. A long day, fascinating and interesting.

Thank you so much everyone for all your hearts and stars and marvellous comments for my 12 year Blip yesterday. I’ve been blown away by everyone’s love and kindness.
I will be answering, as soon as I possibly can!
