Natural Dereliction
Looking though some of my photos I came across some old macro shots of poppy seeds and had an urge to repeat the exercise using my latest pro-grade lens. Sadly, I couldn't find the seeds and it was too late to pop out to the shops for some new ones.
Instead, I came across the Chinese lantern-like seed pod of ground cherries, which are far smaller than it's cousin and contain edible cherry tomato-like fruits. This example has the classic papery husk, but is somewhat battered, and so becomes my entry for this week's Derelict Sunday Challenge.
