Blue Lagoon

This morning we were up and out early and on the beach, 30 minutes away, by 9.30 complete with a picnic lunch.  We planted ourselves under the casuarina trees and coconut palms, in the shade.  And that was us till 5.

The bay is wide and the water warm/hot but shallow.  I had to walk a great number of steps to get anything like swimming depth and as the tide was going out it became even more of a challenge to swim rather than bob around.  However, before we left the tide was back in and we got almost a decent swim just at the water's edge.  It was a very restful day and the beach was almost deserted between 11 and 4. Perfect.

Back to a deserted pool at base.  Most folk who arrived yesterday only stayed one night.  BBQ again but an unfortunate accident at the end involving #1 son's left palm and a melting toasted marshmallow.  

Email means all go for Bali next week.  More beaches I assume.
