Mono Monday: Week 577 ...

... Future ButterFly Beneath.

My morning was Filled with admin things ... mostly a Few phone calls.  And then after lunch we got out for a lovely walk at Housenick Memorial park.  We stopped at the post office on the way to Housenick as I needed to drop off a parcel that was being returned to Zenni. 

During our walk I was on the look out for something Beneath ... or even me Beneath something ... trying to think outside the box.  And then I remembered all the Fabulous Eastern Black swallowtail butterFly chrysalids that we are overwintering in our sunroom.  When we got home I took one outside along with the macro lens.  There is a Future Flying ButterFly beneath this chrysalis ... you can even see the Fine Filament that holds it to the stick.  These Fascinating butterflies will start to emerge sometime this Spring ... watch this space.
