On the moove….

A day of cattle, snow showers and haulage.
Cattle fed ,then hitched up the livestock trailer onto the landrover ,chucked my 2 terrier co pilots in the cab and headed next door to load 4 cull cows for the mart at St Boswells.
Dropped them off , washed out the trailer ,had a chat with a pal while waiting our turn for the hoses, grabbed a quick black pudding and lorne sausage roll in the canteen , then headed off to Selkirk to collect some replacement ear tags for some heifers that were going away later today. Back home by 1.30pm. Bagged up feed for tomorrow while Kev finished mucking out and bedding cows.
This lorry arrived in at 3 pm to collect the 20 heifers I’ve sold. They loaded quite well compared to some days. Was quite pleased with the price I sold them for until I came in tonight and paid an invoice the postie had delivered for sheep feed. That came to 1/3 of the price of the cattle on the lorry.
Easy come , easy go….
Ho hum….
