Earlier, anticipating an evening visit from near neighbours, we set about deep cleaning the house. It was already pretty much spotless but that wasn’t sufficient.

After, we popped into the gym for a sufferfest and then I nipped over to M&S for some ‘nibbles’. It was then that I noticed a message to say our visitors are sick and won’t be coming tonight.

After playing in the mud for a bit, we made tea together and then watched another couple of episodes of the watchable Skandi police drama ‘Wisting’.
