The final day of the Dales High Way, walking from Newbiggin-on-Lune to Appleby. The better part of the day, for views, was the morning but continuous heavy showers kept my camera in the rucsac.

This is one of the hundreds of sign posts with Dales High Way markers we have passed. We could almost have managed without them; the Route Guide from Tony & Chris Grogan daleshighway.org.uk has been excellent. Clear, accurate and with just the right amount of detail.
