Brackenthwaite Hows.
Brackenthwaite Hows is only a small fell, 675 feet above sea level, but on a clear day you can see 20 Wainwrights.
On the right you can see Melbreak. Beyond Crummock Water are the Buttermere fells.
We managed to keep out of the bitterly cold East wind for much of the walk.
