Schiffelerhof

The Schiffelerhof formed the Keur-Keuls fiefdom Kaldenborn together with the Corisberg farm. In addition, part of the Schiffelerhof fell under Wickrath as a fief.

In 1350, mention was made of Willem van Retersbeek called Kaldenborn. His son Willem was enfeoffed with the Schiffelerhof in 1381. The Van Retersbeek family called Kaldenborn held the farm as a fief during the 14th and 15th centuries. After Frederik van Schaesberg called Van Retersbeek died around 1472, the farm was bequeathed to his daughter Margaretha. In 1570, Corisberg and the Schiffelerhof became separated.

In 1655, Corisberg and De Schiffeler were sold to the Aachen merchant Hendrik Vignon, husband of Anna Buirette. He had a new house built around 1660. A new gate wing followed shortly afterwards.

Owner Rudolph Sturler sold the farm to the Lintgens family in 1765.

In the 1980s, the farm was restored. Part of the farm has been divided into apartments.
