Not as planned

Offered to pick up grandson for a couple hours after dropping TVR off at garage. SiL messaged to say change of plan and could we make it the afternoon. Not really convenient but couldn’t say no. So we dropped the car and walked into the city to order blinds, unfortunately having got to the end of the order we were told they would be delivered Monday and we are away so she suggested we placed the order online middle of next week. Had coffee and then walked home. Lamp is at the coffee shop and I liked the simplicity of it.
Picked up grandson at two and had a great afternoon, out on his scooter and playing with his cars back at the house.
His parents turned up an hour after we expected them but that didn’t matter as we were having fun.
