Big Boy Walk
Latterly, when Caley couldn't do bigger walks I just went on my own. It would have been dreadful for Caley to see the rucksack being lifted and then only Archie leave the house with me.
Archie needs a wilderness to himself. My goodness he was happy this afternoon. (I was entitled to a half day off) . I had never done this hill and in studying the map found this hill loch quite interesting EXTRA. Most hill lochs are recessed down in the Corries but I would estimate this one is at 600m and the nearby trig point on the summit is 622. (I am aware there are -near to summit- lochs in Cairngorm and Ben Alder). For its modest height you see a lot from here, Drumocheter, Loch Ericht Hills, Loch Pattack, Ben Alder, Ardverikie Hills, Lochan na h'Earba, Binnein Shuas, a long way down Loch Laggan and up Glen Shero towards Garva and the River Spey.
