I don’t know if it’s the lighter mornings but I was dressed and had all essential jobs done by 9 o’clock.

I went for a local walk through the park and by the river then up the footpath to the garden centre.

Thought I might get out again in the afternoon but it took me so long to warm up after the morning walk that I decided to stay in.

I spotted the felled tree in a field on the other side of the road while I was looking for dippers* in the river. No dippers today but I heard a woodpecker.



* I just like to look for them . . . even if I carried the camera with long lens it would be difficult to get a good photo.
