Greenfinch

We made it back from London in time for a late lunch. The garden birds were waiting for us when we returned.

It would seem that the grey squirrel had eaten through the velcro tie that holds up one of the bird feeders, clever little devil.  I've put the feeder back up but may have to resort to using a metal cable or similar if he tries that little trick again. 

Hopefully the grumpy looking greenfinch will be able to get back to dominating the feeder for 99% of the time.  The other 1% of time is for when the woodpecker sits on the feeder - the greenfinch knows his place and hightails it away when the woodpecker arrives.
