Salutation

I had a short wander round the garden checking on things and looking for a blip.  As might be expected there are lots of promises from shoots poking out of the ground through the winter debris.  There are plenty snowdrops but they seem hesitant in opening up fully.  I expect they are waiting for a little winter sun and warmth.  The blip is probably one of the more advanced of the groups around.  It prompted me to explore a collective noun for snowdrops and there are many.  A salutation was a good one in recognition of their nodding habit.  But a 'Joy' or 'Cheer' of snowdrops seems to be the 'official' collective noun.  All very appropriate.
