We're staying at the Bowline Club hut near the end of Llyn Padarn in the Llanberis valley. Sunny but cold today, it's going to deteriorate from tomorrow... but you never know!

I didn't get there until after lunch, so just a shortish walk up the Fachwen road.  We tried to walk along the lake but found that the path had been well and truly padlocked off. That wasn't the case the year before last and I  was disappointed  - I mean, I've been walking along there for almost 60 years and it brought back memories of Mum chanting "He had a good home and he LEFT it, serve him jolly well RIGHT" as we walked, and me singing Men of Harlech... for some reason.
