Holding water

The sedum is coming back up with the little leaf pockets holding water drops from heavy rain yesterday and overnight.

I found a few little shoots of sedum where I didn’t plant it. I love when that happens.

Delivered Valentine’s Day flowers today and will again tomorrow. I noticed daffodils blooming in many yards. Mine are trying so with sunshine tomorrow I might see a couple blooms in the yard soon.


The rain was heavy in North Carolina also with rivers and creeks rising. There was also an ice storm in the higher elevations that caused power outages. I cannot imagine the mental anguish people are dealing with to see water rising. Many are still not in permanent homes. Jobs are gone because there is no business where they used to work.

Some good news since Trump visited a few weeks ago. Crews are finally doing major cleanup of cars, structures and trees from the rivers and creeks. Also along roadways. Many bridges, major roads and individual roads are not passable. So much work to do. It has been almost 5 months since the storm. Keep sending good thoughts and prayers to these people.
