Dig It

It’s that time of year again, the hard work at the allotment has to start. I was secretly hoping the ground would be too wet for digging it over but no, so after faffing about with other jobs for a bit I started on last year’s potato bed, lifting any overlooked spuds as I went. Despite that there will still be a lot I’ve missed and which will shoot up exactly wherever I sow or plant the new season’s crops. Guaranteed! An hour and a bit’s digging was enough as a starter or else my back would be complaining.
We’d a Trios league match at the tenpin later and the three of us put in a good team performance, dovetailing nicely and picking up unexpected points which is always nice. The big news was on the lanes next to us though as SG rolled a 300 game, a rare occurrence and the first I’ve witnessed. Seriously impressive nerves!
