I DIDN'T WANT TO BE THE ONLY ONE...
...who didn’t get red roses for Valentine’s Day, so decided to take a shot of the tulips I brought home from the Community Fridge yesterday, which look lovely in my beautiful black Wedgwood vase. This was a gift from my boss when I left to have our first baby back in 1971 - so it is now 54 years old. With a bit of playing with one of my apps, PhotoRoom, I found some red roses!
I thought this would be preferable to a shot of the nurse taking blood from my arm later this morning - because although it may be the same colour, my arms do not readily give up their blood! In fact, I will be very surprised if she gets any out the first time of trying. Mind you, I have been drinking water like it's going out of fashion and have already had over 2 litres, so hopefully, that will help.
I always tell the nurse that “left is best” but sadly, many don’t listen and by the time they have tried about 3 times in my right arm and I am beginning to wilt, they then say that perhaps they will try the left arm and it comes out first time!
This will be short and sweet, for me anyway, as I am going to try and do some commenting before I go - and anyway, who wants to do housework on a lovely sunny morning - so hope you all have a good day today - and if you didn’t get any red roses either, then feel free to enjoy mine!
Let’s all spread some love around today - we have just taken a Bag of Hope to the Spanish family - together with lots of things that I thought would be useful to them - which included some colouring pencils and a book for the older girl - and I did understand “Muchos gracias - bendiciones” - “Thank you very much, blessings.”
Enjoy the rest of your day - sending love to you all. M & J xx
PS Just tried the advice that SK gave me and put my heated eyepatch onto my arm before I went to have my blood taken – and it worked! First time into my left arm - no problem!
