Meet Monty

Meet Monty, who was in a parcel that arrived today, with some rather late birthday gifts from Tom. But it's the thought that counts, and they were worth waiting for! Among them was 'Monty', Monty Bojangles to be precise. He is was full of some absolutely delicious, very more-ish chocolates. I'm debating what to put in him when all the chocolates are gone, as he's far too nice to put in with the recycling.

I suspect that Tom's choice of chocolates may have been influenced subconsciously by the name 'Monty' which, on occasion, we used to call our much-loved cat, who was with us for 19 years. His real name was Tom (and Tom the boy, as he was then, was very happy that our rescue cat had his name, so we didn't change it when he came to us), and I've no idea why he was sometimes called Monty!
