climate strike

Day two of our strike for better wages and working conditions. We all gathered in the Columbiahalle. The plan was to have some candidates for the upcoming elections on stage. After the attack on a union rally in Munich the programme was changed. The speakers were very emotional. It was good to hear plain speaking working class voices against racism and right wing opportunists.

I then went on to join the climate strike at the Brandenburg Gate. There was a huge crowd of all ages and excellent speakers. The Grannies against Fascism were very clear: the patriarchy is exploiting people and the environment. A fight for social justice is also a fight for protecting our climate and environment and vice-versa. 

Protests in Berlin are huge. It was good to be in a big crowd of people who share the same concerns and are moved by the same ideas.
