Bewitched

Mrs CBL and I were in Aberdeen today to help our daughter with some chores but we did take a break to walk along the old railway line to Duthie Park.  Good coffees and cakes were enjoyed at The Park Café, my slice of Banoffee Cake was delicious!

On the back I took this photo of a clump of silver birch trees as the tracery patterns caught my eye.  Then I noticed the trees also had a most impressive collection of “witches’ broom” which I used to think were birds’ nests.
