Look Out

I visited Chester Zoo this afternoon.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2024 Exhibition has moved on from the Natural History Museum in London, which promotes the awards, to the zoo. In addition to the 100 images in the exhibition (which are superb) there are an additional 25 images which were up for the people’s choice award, and which are run on big screens in this adjoining darkened area (which are also wonderful). The whole space once housed orang-utans, who now reside next door.

I had a brief walk around part of the zoo afterwards. It has been a cold day - the penguins and snow leopards looked comfortable. The Chilean Flamingos also, their approach is - just tuck your head in (extra).
