Thomas Chalmers

Actual sunshine today, for more than a few minutes. Not at all warm, though. Blip has N Castle Street in the background.

Pilates first thing, with a different and much more demanding instructor. He had a line of patter which didn't improve the experience at all, though the actual exercise was worthwhile.  Back to meet with the neighbours who own the flat above ours.

Afternoon walk through George Street, then back by Dublin Street; York Place had two lanes open East bound only while the tram work goes on this weekend. Leads to hold ups elsewhere as the diverted traffic works through.

Thomas Chalmers was born in Anstruther, Fife, and was vice president of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, among many other things. Statue by John Steell.
