The Great Backyard Birdcount…

happens this weekend. We’ve joined in that for several years. Besides counting in the yard, we take drives to the wetland areas nearby, where raptors, swans and cranes are plentiful.
The snow has not melted yet, but we were able to get out ( and back up the hill) with the car.
