Acts of kindness

Unexpected blip today. Whilst travelling into Edinburgh Waverley a young lady got on at Haymarket visibly upset. She had considerable train problems during the day and had missed connections and was struggling to get to her destination. The guard not only looked everything up for her he offered to take her personally to the next train and platform.  It's these simple acts of kindness that restore my faith in such a broken world 
The journey for me deteriorated from here. On time to Preston , scheduled driver change here but no driver!! Left 55 minutes later meaning arriving in Stafford after 11pm! 'A' luckily picking me up. 
Have already had the delay repay email so at least some compensation.
