Redwing

Turdus iliacus

This is the best I could manage - could be sharper. A skittish flock of beautiful redwings. I couldn't get any nearer because every time I took a step they flew further away. But I couldn't let this blip go.

The plumber is here. He's diagnosed the problem and he's able to fix it. It's a dripping (though not flooding) pipe. There are now two substantial holes cut into a) a ceiling and b) a wall but I'll worry about them some other time.

My elder son, his partner and my grandson are calling in soon. They're on their way north for a few days. Looking forward to seeing them. My grandson will have something to say about the holes in the house I expect.
