MORE PROMISES OF SPRING

Our Saturday morning meat order was delayed today due to the road in Allithwaite (the next village down from us on the way towards Ulverston) was completely closed.  Apparently this will be so for anything from 4 to 9 days!!  This means cars are being directed down Jack Hill.  Jack Hill is right at the top of Allithwaite village just as you leave Grange and is a very narrow and very steep hill.  If its meants to be two-way I don't know what will happen because you certainly couldn't reverse uphill it's too steep and anything bigger than a standard car would be too big!!!!  There is another way via Cartmel but that can be narrow in places too!!  Oh well I guess we won't be using that road for a while.

This delay simply meant we were later than usual going into Town, but that's all so all good.  We did our usual weekly shopping and had a bacon bap for brunch in Thyme Out before heading home.

I've just watched last night's episode of a TV series called Uncanny.  It's a spooky series about the paranormal and has teams sceptics and team believers.  I'm very sceptical but with an open mind.  What I like those is the background stories, take away the supposed paranormal activities and the human stories are interesting, sometimes tragic and sad.

It's so blinkin' grey and misty, it would be so lovely to see a bit of sunshine.  I don't mind the cold but the greyness does tend to seep right through you.

These primula are from a garden centre and taken with my Samsung, but hope you like them and they bring a bit of colour to a drab day.

Do take care blip friends and I will see you all tomorrow.
