I always enjoy seeing this wonderful painting by Sandy Moffat (see extra for some further background/explanation) at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery ...

... we were there earlier this afternoon, with some family visitors, who were over in Edinburgh for the day. Several bookshops were subsequently visited, and quite a few volumes of poetry may also have been purchased!
