Dean Orphanage
I had an early start today. I sent a few work emails, passing the tricky piece of work on to a couple of colleagues. I’ve suggested they might want to have a chat with one if our big bosses, who may be able to shed some light in it. I then cut it fine too get myself organised and out to catch the bus. I just made the bus. I was then heading to the hairdresser. I have very short hair, but gave decided to grow it. Wish me luck, it may take a long time! I’m aiming for a short bob type style.
After the hairdresser, I went for a walk along the Water of Leith, as the sun had appeared and it was a lovely day. It was so nice to see blue sky. I popped into the Gallery of Modern Art, and had a look around the Everlyn Nicodemus exhibition. There were some very striking works. I continued along to Dean Village, then headed back up to Princes Street, where I popped into a couple of shops before catching the bus home.
I was frozen when I got home as the bus was very cold. I struggled to warm up so got my heated blanket out, and then dozed off!! I woke up a while later, then had to pop out to get some things for tea. I got back to find BB watching TV. He had taken advantage of a lift home from one of his teammates. Thankfully I’d bought enough for three!
I made tea, once TT appeared. We then had a quiet evening with a couple off glasses of Valentines fizz.
This is Modern 2, now an art gallery, but was originally built as the Dean Orphanage, a very impressive building. The extras show some Of Everlyn Nicodemus’s work, the Lazarus series, and Refugees..
