El Burrero

An unsung hero of Gran Canario.
About 4 minutes from the airport. You can stay there for 45€ a night. The beach is clean, sheltered, beautifully clean water and friendly locals. There is an archeological site including cliff cave dwellings and a burial site, a early 18th century wreck of a Corsair with cannons etc.

And then you can have the best homemade food at the friendliest bar, a drink plus coffee for 10€ each.

Hands down beats the big resorts.
