And they are still in bud!

Today I thought that I would try again photographing the snowdrops.  Surely they would be open by now?  But no they are still firmly in bud.  I have discovered by looking it up that snowdrops are thermotropic and won't open those petals until the temperature reaches 10ºc.  Who knew!
I have given the snowdrops a poster effect in PS Elements to make up for their not opening.
In other news: my thumb is much better today, although still rather sore.  I must now be careful that I don't end up in the wars again by overusing it.
