Treemendous

Friend David took me for a morale-boosting walk, and while we geekily examined some markings on a tree, two interesting things occurred. Firstly a couple of long-lensed birdspotters appeared, and pointed out a flock of hawfinches which seemed to have taken up residence. Then we discovered that red squirrels had also been spotted regularly in the same woods, which are less than half a mile from my home, so I’m hoping they visit my wooded garden.
