Burns at night…..
A chilly but dry day today.
Cattle all fed, feeding bagged up ready for tomorrow and various other jobs .
A pal from the village, and his pal, arrived up to have a go at cutting some of the fallen beech tree off the fence down in the field my spring calving cows are wintered in.
By mid afternoon they had made a bit of progress , but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Managed to go down with the tractor and loader and retrieve some of the wood without making too much mess. Dropped some down to his house in the village as a thank you , then back to feeding coos.
Mrs F treated me to a chippy tea if I went to collect it. Spotted this drinking fountain which commemorates Rabbie Burns. Surprised it’s never been vandalised given its location, but maybe I’m just cynical….
