Scots Pine

Today C with her dog and I went walking in Wayford Woods.  So many things to look at.  This is the base of trunk belonging to a very tall and ancient Scots Pine.  It looked as if an insect had been boring holes into the soft bark.  Extras:  In the wood.

In the evening there was a Quiz Night for charity and S organised that we take a bring and share supper and make up a table.  Needless to say we came second to last but there were only 4 of us - most people had six - and it was an improvement on last year when we came last!!   Names of people and dates let us down big time.
