Winter Bloomer

It amazes me how witchhazel blooms in the winter.  This is our relatively new 'Rochester' that we didn't expect to see any blooms on for at least another year.  It was hard to get the photo (from inside) because it's snowing hard and blowing sideways.  This cultivar is highly fragrant but I haven't caught the scent yet. 

I didn't notice the wren until I pulled the other photo up on the computer.  Bonus!  I don't blame it for staying out of the elements.
