A busy feeder afternoon

The feeders were busy this afternoon with the approaching storm. Only one mourning dove around and I was surprised to see the flicker sitting beside it. The squirrel was having fun, running around on top of the snow this morning. Two of them were chasing each other thru the ravine. The blue jays discovered the peanuts in the feeders so they were busy filling their beaks, then flying off to either eat them or hide them.

We were able to get out to brunch this morning before the storm started.

Yesterday I had messaged Albert, one of the guys who works for me in the summer to see if he had any access to salt or sand. He does some plowing for another company in the winter. I said that I was looking for someone to clear the end of the driveway on Monday morning too. He came over this evening and cleared the driveway and put some salt down. Hopefully it won't be too bad for me to get out in the morning.

I checked my phone and the temperature is still -4 C. I can hear ice pellets hitting the windows. It is supposed to warm up overnight and be above freezing by morning so it could change to rain. But the temperature drops again during the day tomorrow. Not as fast as it did on Friday morning, but there will still be ice around.
