Through the Blur of the Rain

We had to have the van up at Orewa early this morning to have a bike rack installed. So we drove up yesterday afternoon to be a little closer and free-camped at Hatfiields Beach, despite the weather forecast.
Sure enough 30-40km/hr humid winds buffeted the van all night, with very wetting heavy drizzle off the sea. No walk along the beach, neither last night nor for the sunrise this morning. Nice to drift off to sleep to the sound of crashing waves.
