Never have I ever

put the flag in the pole. Until today. Everyone else already at work as I received the news about the neighbor passing, so it was up to me do the honors. It was quite moving and also scary as I didn't want to sacrifice the tradition by me messing with the huge flag. (Our pole is taller than normal, hence the flag being bigger than usual.)

Not to make this all about me when someone has moved on. This has touched me today tremendously. Also this tradition.
